School Board Meetings are being held with Board Members appearing in-person and some staff appearing virtually through Zoom. Please note that School Board Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. unless noted otherwise.
Public comments may be delivered in person or via Zoom at School Board Meetings, or may be submitted as written comments using this same form. Contact the Board Clerk at 703-619-8316 or by email at boardclerk@acps.k12.va.us for more information.
Public Comments at School Board Meetings are as follows:
1. Up to one (1) hour of public comments will be heard at regularly scheduled School Board Meetings. The one hour of comments does not include comments for Public Hearings on specific topics. Each speaker will receive three (3) minutes to address the School Board.
2. Written public comments submitted on this form will be added to the agenda under Public Comments. Comments submitted after the deadline may be added to the next meeting agenda.
The deadline to sign up to speak at the School Board Meeting (virtually or in-person), or to submit written public comments is NOON, one day prior to the scheduled meeting.
If you have missed the deadline to sign up using this form, you may appear in-person between 5:45 and 6:15 p.m. on the day of the meeting to sign up for one of 5 available slots that have been set aside for in-person speakers.
Comments submitted to the School Board using this form
will be made public. However,
if you wish your comments to remain confidential, you may email the School Board and Superintendent directly using the
School Board Contact Form.

Changes to
Policy BDDH and
Regulation BDDH-R regarding Public Participation at School Board Meetings were approved on May 4, 2023.
