if you have an interest in special education at LCTA. The purpose of the group is to enhance the experience of students with special needs and their families at LCTA. Join us to revitalize the LCTA plant gardens and butterfly garden. Families welcome! Get ready to get your hands dirty and make some new friends along the way!
Walk-a-Thon! - Take a walk on the wild side - October 31st (during the school day)
It is coming! The biggest fundraiser of our school year. Watch your child’s backpack for more information or click here. It promises to be a fun festival style event! This event helps fund the operating budget of the PTA, in support of our school.

Our playground equipment is coming soon! We are excited to announce that there is a installation and completion date on the horizon for the first 2 new pieces of equipment to be installed. Stay updated by checking on our PTA website and watch this space!

Thursday, September 20th - 8:15am - Firehook Café, Join the Legislative Affairs group to discuss ACPS issues facing our school; to include overcrowding, TAG, playground and equity for LCTA within ACPS
Saturday, September 22nd - 10am - LCTA Community Gardens family clean-up morning
Week of September 24th is kick off for the Blessings in a Backpack program (there are many options to participate!)
Monday, October 1st – PTA presentation - LCTA Library, “Celebrating our differences through friendships at LCTA”.
