Current and Upcoming LCTA PTA Happenings

Remember Dr. Zissios this week!

Governor Ralph S. Northam has proclaimed January 20-26, 2019 as Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week. This proclamation recognizes all that school based administrators do for the communities, staff and children that they serve. Here is the link to the proclamation posted online: https://www.governor.virginia.gov/newsroom/proclamations/proclamation/virginia-school-principals-appreciation-week.html

Please think of a way your family can acknowledge our esteemed Principal-Dr. Patricia Zissios this week. A simple gesture can mean a lot! Let her know how much your family appreciate what she does for our school and your children. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated leader running our school. Let’s celebrate her this week! (Rumor has it that some of her favorite things are….. Jelly Donuts, Coffee, King Street Cats, Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, Greek food…and most of all… notes and hugs from her students!)

Looking for parent volunteer-3D Printers

Do you have experience with 3-D printers in your workplace? Our new equipment has arrived and our 4th and 5th grade teaching staff is looking for assistance to present to students about the “real world” application of this technology and how it is applied in the workforce. We can work around your schedule. Please email Ms. Murphy, laura.murphy@acps.k12.va.us,  if you can spare an hour of your time.
