LCTA PTA Community Connect Event: Healthy for the Holidays! Wednesday, December 8th 7-8:00 PM The LCTA PTA would like to invite you to pause for a moment and learn tips to de-stress with fellow LCTA parent Mai Trinh who will discuss staying "Healthy for the Holidays": Learn tips on having a healthy holiday. This discussion will give you helpful steps on how to manage holiday stress while focusing on what really matters this season. We will cover mindfulness and go through a guided meditation breathing technique that you can practice anywhere during your busy day to destress, rebalance, and calm your nerves. This talk will help you to prioritize meaningful moments for your life and health going into the New Year. We will also talk about holiday healthy habits so you can be the best version of your parenting self. Kidcreate LCTA is excited to once again team up with KidCreate in Alexandria and offer a variety of art kits. The kits will be available before winter break and delivered directly to school. Order Here: Monthly Uniform Locker Save The Date for the next Uniform Locker on Thursday, December 9th, 8 am - 9 am, and 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm The Uniform Locker has gently used uniforms for no charge (this is not an exchange: a donation of clothing is not required to make a selection). The Uniform Locker is located to the left of the main entrance to the school; its entry door faces the parking lot. If you have clothing to donate, donations are welcome at any time and can be dropped off at the front office. They can also be dropped off during the time uniform lockers are held. We kindly ask that you please launder the items you bring in to donate before dropping them off. Thank you very much! LCTA Library Wishlist Is your birthday coming up? If so, then please consider donating a new book to our LCTA library in honor of your special day! It’ s easy! Just choose a book off our LCTA library Amazon wish list, purchase it in hardback or library binding, and drop it off at the library. We will put a special book plate inside the book with your name and birthday on it, and announce your gift over the morning announcements on your birthday. ACPS On-Site Covid-19 Testing Available to Students: On 25 October, ACPS began COVID-19 testing at all schools. In order for students to get tested, parents must opt in for the program EACH WEEK. The goal is to have 30% of students tested in order for the program to be effective.
