LCTA PTA eROAR, May 9, 2021

Happy Mother's Day to our LCTA Mothers!

Enjoy this special day with your little lion cubs!

Teacher Appreciation Week is This Week!

We are planning two special surprises from the PTA:

* We are providing lunch for our teachers on Wednesday

* We are decorating the front of our school for Tuesday morning arrival. If you/ your child would like to make a poster to display, please bring it to the front office on Monday (by 3:30pm) or to the school steps Monday between 5-6 pm.

Please keep in mind that what teachers appreciate more than anything, is acknowledgement of how hard they have worked this year! A note of gratitude will go along way; Don't underestimate the power of even a simple email with thoughtful words!

April is currently serving on the board as VP of Family Involvement in Education. During her year on the PTA Executive Board she has championed the importance of parental involvement from all families and multi-lateral representation at our school. She launched the 360° Inclusion Committee to inspire the involvement of families and increase awareness. April has made it her mission to do her part to further the PTA mission, “To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children." She is active in the local community as a Girl Scout troop leader, member of the local NAACP Alexandria chapter, and annually participates in National support walks for MS, Arthritis, and Speech Apraxia. She is looking forward to “rallying the troops” for LCTA fundraising!
