Lion Fest: Donate by 11/10 + Kickball Tournament + Dress Down Day Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and contributed their time and hard work to make Lion Fest a success! Our donation link is still live until this Friday 11/10, and we would love your help to reach our goal of $35,000! We are currently at $22,673 in donations + $10,286 made from the auction (WOW! THANK YOU!) = $32,959. We are so close to go to make our $35,000 goal, and any amount goes a long way to helping our school community! Kickball Tournament All classes that reach 100% participation in donations will get to participate in a kickball tournament - donations of all amounts make a difference and are greatly appreciated as they make a lasting impact on our school community!! Dress Down Day As part of the celebration for when we reach our goal, a dress down day will be awarded to the whole school if we make our goal of $35,000! Donation Challenge We are hoping to have 100% participating this year in our donation drive. The goal is to raise $35,000! National School Psychology Week 11/6-11/10 During this week of 11/6-11/10, schools nationwide are celebrating National School Psychology Week (NSPW) to highlight the critical work school psychologists do to help students thrive. This is a time to recognize and show appreciation for our wonderful Dr. Rebecca Marcus, who supports students' learning and mental and behavioral health, promotes a positive and inclusive school climate, serves on school safety and crisis teams, and collaborates with families, teachers, and administrators to improve student outcomes. Dr. Marcus brings warmth, care, and expertise to our school community, supporting our students' well-being and success. Thank you for nurturing a positive and healthy learning environment at LCTA! Uniform Locker Open 11/10, 7:45 am Our school is a uniform school. As such, to help support our families, the PTA runs a Uniform Locker, which is stocked with gently used uniform items for your family to shop free of charge. Our Uniform Locker will be open this Friday 11/10 at drop off, from 7:45 am - 8:30 am. It is located by the side doors of the school, facing the parking lot.

Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day and Assembly 11/14 Six year old Ruby Bridges stepped into the history books in 1960 when she integrated William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans. Today her story continues to inspire the next generation of leaders to end racism together one step at a time. We honor her legacy by continuing the movement to end racism and unify our communities. School Announcements Picture Day Updates Thank you to everyone that has already ordered their pictures from Picture Day! Online ordering was only open for 48 hours following Picture Day. All will receive a proof when pictures are ready and sent to the school. The online processing will then reopen, where parents can order online (at https://vando.imagequix.com/J9FRB96 by using this online code: lylescrouch23). If you do not like the proof, save the date for Make Up Picture Day on 12/4! This opportunity is available to all students who were absent on the initial Picture Day or require a retake. Veteran's Day Program 11/10 We welcome all families of our 4th grade choir and veterans and active military to attend our Veteran’s Day program at 9 am. Students in grades 3-5 and any siblings of military families are also invited to join. We will have a donut and coffee social, provided by the PTA, to honor our nation’s military beginning at 8:30 am.
