Book Fair!-March 4-7th!
This event beloved by students and teachers is coming up. The hours will run from 7:30am to 4:30pm M, W, T. On Tuesday March 5th we will have pizza night and extended hours until 8:00pm. The book fair will close at noon on Thursday the 7th.
We still need volunteers! Please sign up for open shifts.
Afterschool Program
Do you have ideas for enrichment activities you would like to see in our afterschool program or a teacher you know who would be interested to run a class…please contact Whitney Necole, whitney.necole@gmail.com. We are preparing the third session of our after school programming and we are looking for feedback from parents.
Because of weather, there will be some make-up days for Session 2 of ASP: Monday classes will run until March 11th, Tuesday classes will run until March 12th, Wednesday classes will run until March 6th and Thursday classes March 7th.
The schedule for Session 3 will be sent home soon and will run from March 25th-May 23rd
Teacher Lounge
The PTA is getting busy again to replace the rotten cabinetry in the teacher lounge. Can you lend some skills?
The renovation of this space is something that truly lifts the spirts of our teaching staff.
Can you help assemble furniture, or do you have any plumbing or electrical skills to offer?

Character Counts
Thank you for the donations of new and used books to benefit Community Lodgings. Bins are in the front lobby and this drive will continue for the month of February.
February 17th- join other LCTA volunteers for a Potomac River bank clean up. Meet up along the Mount Vernon Trail on GW parkway after the mini-bridge. More details to follow on parents FB page.
February 17th is also Random Acts of Kindness Day. Spend the day committing random acts of kindness throughout the community.
