Blessings in a Backpack
Blessings in a Backpack is running low on milk boxes, canned chicken breast meat, canned veggies and plastic bags! Please save any durable plastic bags in good condition from Target, Balducci’s, etc. for us. Many other grocery store bags are too flimsy and rip super easily. While Blessings in a Backpack hosts two large food drives each year, we accept donations of food, grocery store gift cards and checks (made payable to LCTA PTA) all school year long. Collection bin in front lobby! Thank you!
International Night Volunteer opportunity - November 20th, 8:00am
International Night’s upcoming planning team -November 20th, 8:00am will meet in the front office conference room. This meeting is for volunteers interested in joining the planning team for International Night. This group will help coordinate all details of the planning for the event; logistics, marketing/media, food and beverage, educational content, music and dance performances etc.

Interested in signing up to be one of our participating countries on the night-Sign up here. We are looking forward to growing our list of 40 countries over 5 continents. It is a 2 hour commitment on the night (May 5th) where you have the opportunity to display your country of origin or a country of your choosing…more details on sign-up. Please note a separate meeting date will be announced for families who are planning to host a country/display on the night. That will be an informational meeting sharing details on what is involved in participating in the event/hosting a country.
Bus Driver Appreciation Day - Tuesday November 26
Help us participate in a very special gesture to show thanks to our transportation staff on Tuesday, November 26 to begin the Thanksgiving break. Our bus drivers are literally the first ACPS staff to greet our students in the morning and the last ACPS staff to wish them a great rest of the day in the afternoon or evening. Join us with extending notes and/or treats of thanks to our bus drivers, bus trainers, bus monitors and bus mechanics.
LCTA PTA presents Pizza and Movie Night - Friday, December 6, 6pm
Join us for Pizza and a Movie! “The Aristocats” will be showing, in preparation for our Spring performance! $5/child entry fee. Doors will open at 6:00pm and the movie will begin at 6:30pm, this is not a drop-off party. Bring blankets, pillows to get cozy in the MPR.

OPTION 1:Download the ALL NEW Box Tops app (find it on the Apple App Store or Google Play). Shop as you normally would, scan your store receipts and the app will automatically credit LCTA! Super easy!
OPTION 2:You can still clip and send Box Tops in! The physical Box Top clips will be phased out, but we can still send them in as long as they are not expired.
LCTA receives checks twice a year! Last year we earned almost $500. How much more can we earn this year using the new option?
