Exciting news! Our kitchen/cafeteria renovation project is underway. Over the summer, the Office of Educational Facilities made significant progress. They removed the kitchen and cafeteria flooring, including asbestos remediation. After thorough cleaning, a temporary floor leveling compound was applied, which will allow the space to be used throughout the school year until the final flooring is installed. A temporary kitchen work area and serving line in the cafeteria have also been set up to ensure lunch service operates smoothly during the renovation. A contractor will be selected this fall, with work to begin soon after. The contractor will work in the secluded kitchen space to rearrange operations and install new equipment in the kitchen area. Project completion is anticipated for spring 2024. Updates will be shared as the project progresses on the Educational Facilities webpage and in the CIP Newsletter.
While the kitchen/cafeteria renovation project is ongoing, our amazing Cafeteria Manager, Ms. Laura Purdy, has created a menu for our students that is modified from the regular ACPS menu due to our different space availability during the renovation projection. This modified menu follows below for this week and next month.
