So great to see so many of our families participate in International Walk to School Day-October 10th today. Please take the time to share the message of “STOP, LOOK and WAVE” with your children. Please complete the survey about your habits with getting to/from school. Information gathered is instrumental to making changes to our streets and increased safety measures for our children.
After School Programs are in session!!!-Remind your children.
Please remind your children what ASP classes they are attending on the morning of their classes. Although teachers have lists, announcements are made and Baroody is onsite, there were plenty of children confused about what classes they were taking. Help our afterschool programs run smoothly by reminding your children the morning of their class.

Rising 6th Grade parents considering GWMS
GWMS Principal Mazur will be presenting to families and 5th grade students on Tuesday December 4th at 6:30pm in MPR at LCTA. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the school and to ask questions of the principal.

Playground update
The construction has begun and we anticipate that it will be complete with 2 weeks. It is important that after school hours you pay careful attention to your children and keep away from the marked construction work areas.
Teacher Appreciation - 4th Grade - October 17th
Each month the PTA sponsors a breakfast for our teachers at LCTA. This month, the 4th grade will host the breakfast. Please sign up for what you can bring! Items need to be delivered to the office the afternoon before or before 7:00 a.m. on the morning of the breakfast. Thank you so much!
T.C. Williams Stadium Upgrades
We have been asked by our friends at T.C. Williams to share our support of their Stadium Initiative. You can learn more about this project here: https://www.tcwstadium.com. You can share your support for this project by completing this petition that will go to members of Council, School Board, and the 2018 candidates for Council and School Board.
